Last updated: 23/03/2012 // On 10 May 2012, Bjørnstjerne Bjørnson’s courtyard will be opened in the freshly renovated Reduta building in Bratislava.

The home of Slovak Philharmonic will thus pay a tribute to the famous Norwegian writer and advocate of Slovak national language and identity.

The first concert to be played at Bjørnson’s courtyard, will be Edvard Grieg’s "Suite from Holberg’s times". The ceremony will then continue inside, in the Concert Hall of Slovak Philharmonic, where Franz Schubert, Gustav Mahler and Jean Sibelius’ pieces will be presented by the Slovak Philharmonic Orchestra. The restoration of the Reduta building has been supported with 2 million euro from the EEA/Norway Grants.
