State Secretary Elisabeth Walaas visits Slovakia
State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic Oľga Algayerová received on November 21, 2008 State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Norway Elisabeth Walaas.
During the meeting, partners exchanged views on Slovak-Norwegian bilateral relations focusing on economic and trade issues, the Norwegian Financial Mechanism and Norwegian investments in Slovakia. They also discussed current NATO agenda, the situation in Western Balkan region, and some European topics such as climate change and energy security as well as measures taken in both countries to weather the current global financial crisis.
Both sides expressed an ongoing interest in further development of cooperation with emphasis on economic relations.
