Bachelor of Arts
The programme is aimed at students who want to develop an interdisciplinary competence on the High North with special reference to:
social sciences
cultures and politics
environmental issues
sustainable management of natural resources
Depending on the students interests for further studies various optional specializations for the bachelor degree are available.
The Bachelor is fully taught in English and available for full degree students and students coming from our partner institutions.

International Bachelor in Biology
Programme structure:
You will take part in traditional lectures and laboratory work within topics such as ecology, genetics, evolution, cell biodiversity, chemistry etc.
Moreover, you will participate in field work on a regular basis, in addtion to some spectacular excursions to study sea eagles, sperm whales, Atlantic puffins and seals to mention some species. Field work in marine ecology at the Svalbard island (in the Barents Sea) is compulsory in the second or third year.
The programme is fully taught in English.

During your undergraduate studies you may specialize in marine ecology or more lab based molecular biology.
